Hobo Network - WeHeartOurHive's Top Game of 2015

I've had the pleasure of meeting multiple upcoming streamers and personalities during my tenure as a full-time Twitch streamer. I created The Hobo Network to bring like-minded and passionate gamers together to enjoy the fun and hobby of streaming video games to a worldwide audience. For Game Of The Year 2015, I sent out open invitations for Hobo Network members to write an article detailing their favorite game of 2015. Keep in mind, this is the streamer's favorite game they played during the year, not necessarily a game that was released in 2015.

Each article is presented without editing and in their entirety.

Greetings all, Heart here, coming out of my cave to bring you my top pick of 2015. If you hung out in my channel, then you know my biggest game this year had to be Elder Scrolls Online. Now, I didn’t have a lot of experience with mass multiplayer games and the few times I tried to play them, I just couldn’t get into it. Oddly enough, ESO was a different monster. I became immersed in the story and ventured through maps that were engaging, colorful, and active. If you wanted to play alone, you could and ignore everyone around you, or you could team up with other players to complete dungeons and PVP. Sometimes the quests became tedious and you could tell they’d use similar designs in dungeons, but it was still incredibly fun. If you are a gamer who wants to get lost in a vivid world, then ESO is something you should definitely try. It’s got something for the casual and hardcore gamer alike.

Lastly, my “meh” of this year would have to be Assassin’s Creed Unity & Syndicate, and really just the series in general. I enjoyed the Desmond and Precursor storylines of AC, but I am so annoyed with what they are doing with the series and I know that I am also a part of the problem. I keep purchasing the game in hopes that they will get to the point, but they never do and they continue to reap the benefits. AC Unity barely had a mention of the precursors, continuing Ubisoft’s lazy storytelling while AC Syndicate hints to it a bit more. I wish they would just make one of those side games of the current day story and get it over with, but knowing Ubisoft, they’ll keep cranking these out like any sports game, making the same thing over and over because we keep buying it. I may stop purchasing and just watch the “movie” versions on Youtube for now on, but who knows. Fassbender, just don’t disappoint me.

    1. Yeah, I think moving to an every-other-year schedule is going to do wonders for Assassin's Creed.

    2. I just want them to finish the "ones who came before" story line. Then I will be happy.
